What a show! The Serviceaide team enjoyed being a first-time exhibitor at the 9th annual Ingram Micro Cloud Summit place in sunny Boca Raton, Florida.

The Ingram Micro gathering was a great place to meet up with resellers, service providers and cloud technology companies. Partnerships are crucial to business in the cloud, and the event was a friendly place to network with current and prospective partners. With experts in various lines of business and geographic regions walking the floor, many were getting to know the offerings from Ingram Micro, their ecosystem of technology partnerships, and their new relationship with Microsoft to offer more infrastructure-as-a-service opportunities.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Summit continues to grow as value-added resellers (VARs), and service integrators (SIs) move away from just licensing and reselling software and hardware products to becoming managed service providers (MSPs) in the cloud marketplace.  Exhibitors showcased business-friendly apps that MSPs can add to customized bundles or sell as individual solutions.

The sales workshops were particularly helpful as MSPs now need to sell solutions directly to line of business (LOB) buyers, such as marketing, human resources or customer service, and not just the CIO.  At the same time, regional and specialized small and medium businesses are joining in to disrupt the typical CIO focused IT sales cycle.

Serviceaide’sVirtual Agent – Luma, along with our Intelligent Service Management solution garnered a lot of interest. Everyonewas excited by the powerof Luma, and howit meaningfully improves the customer experience. This was especially interesting for cloud resellers looking to retain existing customers while increasing the quality of their offerings through cross-selling apps, recurring subscription revenues and service provider fees. Solutions providers are always looking to differentiate so they can stand apart from the crowd and secure more deals.

While we felt lucky to be at this event, the most fortunate person of the day was Fazil Shafi from Aptlogix who won a Serviceaide Amazon Echo in our booth raffle.
